I own a good amount of location audio equipment, with my rig being set-up primarily for documentary/field recording situations. At the moment, the configuration I keep my bag in is as follows:
• Sound Devices 633 Mixer/Recorder
• Three (3) Lectrosonic 441 Wireless Mic Systems
• Tram, Sanken, and Audio-Technica Lavaliere Microphones
• Sennheiser MKH-50 Cardiod Microphone
• Sennheiser MKH-60 Super-Cardiod Microphone
• Two (2) Lectrosonic IFB Receivers (i.e.: “Comteks”)
• K-Tek Boom Pole
• Batteries, batteries, batteries… Plus a whole lot of cables
Of course, I own quite a bit more gear than what’s in my bag, and can – depending on a project’s specific needs – bring along such accessories as:
• Sound Devices 744T 4-Channel Time-Code Recorder
• Denecke TS-C Time-Code Smart Slate
• Two (2) Tentacle Sync Time-Code Sync Boxes
• Four-pin Mini Lemo Time-Code Cable (i.e.: For Arri or RED cameras)
• Pearl MS-8 Mid-Side Stereo Microphone
• Two (2) Lewitt LCT-440 Microphones (great for V/O or podcasts)
• Two (2) Sennheiser G3 Wireless Microphone System (for camera hops)
And with enough heads up (and budget), I can always call down to L.A. and have extra gear shipped in.
